What is the difference between Published and Unpublished itineraries?

All itineraries in AXUS start in UNPUBLISHED mode, meaning they are only visible to you, the travel advisor, while you work on them in your account.

Once you've added all necessary bookings, images, documents, and guides, and the itinerary is ready to share, you can change its status to PUBLISHED to make it available to travelers in the app.

In this guide, you will learn:

• How to change an itinerary from UNPUBLISHED to PUBLISHED

What happens when you publish an itinerary

To publish an itinerary, open it, go to the title box at the top, and use the dropdown on the left above the itinerary name to select PUBLISHED.

Once an itinerary is in PUBLISHED mode, it becomes "live." Travelers will receive a welcome email containing their unique app credentials and a direct link to the web view of their itinerary. They can then access the itinerary on their mobile devices through the app.

Below is an example of the default welcome email, which can be customized in your profile.

After PUBLISHING, you can send travelers direct messages, collaborate on booking changes, and generate push notifications when updating the itinerary. Live flight status notifications activate 24 hours before departure.

Common Issues and Solutions

  • To PUBLISH an itinerary, it must have at least one traveler and one booking.

  • App credentials are unique to each travel company. If you've PUBLISHED an itinerary but it’s not appearing in your client’s app, ensure they are using the correct credentials. You can view a traveler's credentials at any time by clicking on their name in the Travelers list within the itinerary.
